English

1. Priest and Penitent: “In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”

2. Penitent: “Bless me Father for I have sinned. My last confession was ....  These are my sins. ”

3. Priest counsels and gives a PENANCE.

4. Then the priest asks the penitent to say the ACT OF CONTRITION:

“O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins because of thy just punishments, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, who art all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve with the help of Thy grace to sin no more and to avoid the near occasion of sin. Amen.”

Or the penitent can use this SHORT FORM OF THE ACT OF CONTRITION:

“Lord Jesus, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.”

5. The Priest will now grant the ABSOLUTION. The penitent bows his or her head, and then the priest says the words of absolution: “God, the Father of mercies, through the Death and Resurrection of his Son, has reconciled the world to himself and poured out the Holy Spirit for the forgiveness of sins; through the ministry of the Church, may God grant you pardon and peace. AND I ABSOLVE YOU FROM YOUR SINS, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, + and of the Holy Spirit.”

Penitent: Amen.

 

PILIPINO

1. Pari at Nagsisisi: “Sa ngalan ng Ama, at ng Anak, at ng Espiritu Santo. Amen.”

2. Nagsisisi: “Basbasan niyo ako Padre, sapagkat ako  ay nagkasala. Ang huli kong  kumpisal ay    .   Ito po ang aking  mga kasalanan. ”

3. Magbibigay ng paala-ala ang pari, at bibigyan ng Gawain ng Bayad-puri [PENANCE] sa mga kasalanan at pakikipag-sundo sa Diyos.

4. Sasabihin niya sa nagsisisi na dasalin ang PAGSISISI (ACT OF CONTRITION): "Panginoong Hesus, Anak ng Diyos, ako po ay isang makasalanan ay inyo pong kaawaan."

5. Bibigkasin ng pari ang PAGGAWAD NG KAPATAWARAN (ABSOLUTION).

Pari: "Ang Diyos ay maawain nating Ama. Pinagkasundo niya ang mundo sa kanyang sarili sa pamamagitan ng kamatayan at muling pagkabuhay ng kanyang Anak. Sinugo niyo ang Espiritu Santo para sa ikapagpapatawad ng mga kasalanan. Pagkalooban ka niya ng kapatawaran at kapayapaan sa pamamagitan ng paglilingkod ng Simbahan. AT NGAYON IKA’Y PINATATAWAD KO SA IYONG MGA KASALANAN SA NGALAN NG AMA AT NG ANAK + AT NG ESPIRITU SANTO."

Sasagot ang nagsisisi: Amen.

The Ten Commandments

1. I, the Lord, am your God. You shall not have other gods besides me.

2. You shall not take the name of the Lord, your God, in vain.

3. Remember to keep holy the Lord’s day.

4. Honor your father and your mother.

5. You shall not kill.

6. You shall not commit adultery.

7. You shall not steal.

8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

9. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife.

10. You shall not covet your neighbor’s goods.

Ang Sampung Utos

1. Ako ang Panginoon mong Diyos. Huwag kang magkaroon ng ibang Ditos maliban sa akin.

2. Huwag mong ipahamak na ipanumpa ang pangalan ng Diyos.

3. Mangilin ka tuwing Linggo at ang Pistang Pangilin.

4. Igalang mo ang iyong ama at ina.

5. Huwag kang papatay.

6. Huwag kang makiapid.

7. Huwag kang magnakaw.

8. Huwag kang magbintang o manirang puri sa iyong kapwa.

9. Huwag kang magnasa sa di mo asawa.

10. Huwag kang magnasa sa di mo pag-aari.
